시놉시스Synopsis

몇 년째 치매를 앓고 있는 재옥, 가정 환경상 가게에서 숙식을 해결하는 영주와 대종. 재옥은 잠은 영주의 아들인 순도의 집에서 해결하지만 밥은 영주의 가게에서 해결한다. 항상 다니는 길, 항상 생활하던 패턴을 지키며 벗어남이 없는 재옥, 점점 치매 증상이 심해지고, 길을 잃거나 지금 하고 있는 일을 잊을 때가 종종 있다. 과거로 돌아가고 있는 재옥의 기억. 항상 반갑고 좋은 아들과 손주. 그와는 다르게 며느리는 눈치가 보인다. 어느 날, 어렵고 무서운 며느리(영주)와 항상 반가운 손주(순도)의 눈을 따뜻하게 바라보는 재옥. 안부의 인사를 하듯 미소 짓는다. 애증의 관계로 마냥 못마땅했던 시어머니 재옥의 장례식이 끝나고 가족들을 위해 밥을 짓는 영주. 갑자기 재옥의 빈자리가 크게 느껴진다.

Jae-ok has been suffering from dementia for several years. Due to family circumstances, her daughter-in-law Young-ju and her son Dae-jong live and sleep at the store they run. Jae-ok sleeps in the house of Sun-do, her grandson, but she has the meals at Young-ju’s store. Jae-ok's dementia symptoms get worse, and her memory goes back to the past. One day, Jae-ok warmly looks into the eyes of her difficult and scary daughter-in-law (Young-ju), and her always lovely grandson (Sun-do). She smiles as if saying hello. After the funeral of Jae-ok, Young-ju suddenly feels the absence of her mother-in-law Jae-ok while she cooks for her family.
