시놉시스Synopsis

새벽 4시 30분, 에티오피아 예가체프. 해가 뜨려면 아직도 몇 시간은 더 남았지만 바리스타 사샤 세스티치는 이미 분주하다. 완벽한 커피 한 잔을 만들어 내기 위해서다. 영화는 커피의 본고장인 에티오피아에서 스페셜티 커피의 중심지이자 2015년 월드바리스타챔피언십이 개최되는 미국 시애틀까지 사샤의 여정을 따라간다. 2015년 월드바리스타챔피언십에 오기까지 사샤는 정말 먼 길을 왔다. 전쟁으로 폐허가 된 고향 유고슬라비아를 떠나 호주로 왔고, 2000년 시드니 올림픽에는 호주 핸드볼 국가대표로 출전했다. 선수 생활을 그만둔 후 바리스타의 길을 걷기 시작했고, 완벽을 향한 집념과 노력으로 커피계의 올림픽이라 할 수 있는 월드바리스타챔피언십의 무대에 호주 대표로 서게 된다. 우승컵을 향한, 그리고 완벽한 커피 한 잔을 만들어 내기 위한 땀과 열정을 느낄 수 있는 영화로, 제임스비어드상 다큐멘터리 부문 후보에 오른 작품이다. 커피를 좋아하는 관객이라면 놓치지 말아야 할 커피 영화이자, 손에 땀을 쥐게 하는 국제대회 현장을 생생하게 목격할 수 있는 다큐멘터리, 그리고 타고난 재능보다는 의지와 노력으로 최고의 자리에 오른 한 사람의 인간 승리를 그린 휴먼 드라마이다.
