시놉시스Synopsis
척은 쇼팽을 틀어 놓고 아내 실비와 느긋하게 제대로 된 대화를 나눌 생각을 하며 저녁 식사를 준비한다. 하지만 실비는 일의 성공을 축하하기 위해 갑자기 동료들을 집으로 초대하고, 통제되지 않는 분위기 속에서 척이 계획한 둘만의 식사는 대혼란에 빠진다.
Chuck is in his element, cooking and listening to Chopin with his baby daughter, imagining what he will say to his wife Sylvie once he can get her to slow down long enough to have a real conversation. All goes awry when Sylvie spontaneously invites a group of colleagues over to celebrate a work victory.

1964년 캐나다에서 태어나 토론토대학교에서 비교문학과 음악을 전공한 후 벨기에 출신의 애니메이터 더크 반 데 본델 아래서 애니메이션을 수학했다. 1991년 제작사 ‘쿠파 커피’를 공동 설립한 후 캐나다 최고의 애니메이션 명가로 키웠다. <Impromptu>, 지니상 후보지명을 받은 <Vive la Rose>, 그리고 <The Magical Life of Long Tack Sam> 등의 영화를 연출했으며 2005년 오타와국제영화제에서 최우수애니메이션상을 수상한 단편 <At the Quinte Hotel>로 주목 받았다.
Born in Newfoundland in 1964, Bruce ALCOCK studied music and comparative literature at the University of Toronto before apprenticing with Belgian animator Dirk van de VONDEL in Barcelona. In 1991, Bruce co-founded Cuppa Coffee, which has since grown into one of Canada’s largest animation houses. His most recent NFB film, Impromptu (2013), the Genie-nominated Vive la rose (2009) and The Magical Life of Long Tack Sam (2003). His short At the Quinte Hotel (2005) was recognized with a 2005 Canadian Film Institute Award for Best Animation at the Ottawa International Film Festival.
