시놉시스Synopsis
2022년 메리다를 비롯한 멕시코 전 지역은 심각한 물 부족에 시달리고 있다. 유타칸 주와 메리다시는 한 때 멕시코에서 가장 자원이 풍부했던 곳이다. <물의 수호자>는 물 부족 현상의 원인을 찾아가는 동시에, 지역에서 유일하게 깨끗한 물을 보유하고 있는 살바도르와 그의 아이들의 노력을 보여준다.
2022. Mérida and the rest of México is going through a terrible water crisis. How did Yucatán and the city of Mérida, one of the most resource-favored regions of Mexico, end up in drought? Guardianes documents the causes of this phenomenon as well as the case of Salvador Canul and his children, the adverage Meridian family except for one thing: they own the last clean water well in the whole region.
감독Director
멕시코에서 태어났다. 고교시절부터 영화를 통해 관심 있는 주제와 사람들에게 즐거움을 줄 수 있는 이야기를 들려주고 싶어했다. 대학 재학 시절에는 <Antes de tiempo>, <Advertencia>, <Vendedor de sonrisas> 등 여러 단편영화 제작에 참여했다. 여전히 영화제작과 연출에 대한 꿈을 가지고 있으며 지역영화계의 성장에 기여하길 원한다.
Luis ARTEAGA born in Mexico and started making video, since high school in eager to tell stories that mattered and also entertained people. During college he participated in many short films such as, Antes de tiempo, Advertencia, and Vendedor de sonrisas. He wishes to continue making film and help the local industry become stronger.
