시놉시스Synopsis
평생 목장을 운영해 온 팀 아이윅의 목장은 지금 파산 위기에 놓여 있다. 두 해 동안의 가뭄과 정부 법률, 수요와 공급의 문제 등과 싸우면서 팀은 자신의 작은 낙농장을 살리기 위해 고군분투 중이다. 고객들은 아이윅 우유의 특별한 맛과 건강한 성분에 중독되어 있지만 목장을 살리는 데에는 충분하지 않다.
Tim Iwig has farmed all his life, and right now he’s fighting to save the family farm from bankruptcy. Battling two years of drought, government legislation, and supply and demand challenges, Iwig struggles to keep his small Kansas dairy afloat. Iwig's customers are addicted to his milk because of its distinct flavor and healthy properties, but this may not be enough to save the farm.

캔자스대학교에서 커뮤니케이션 박사 학위를 받고 노스조지아대학교에서 교수로 재직 중이다. 지역 먹거리, 농산물 직거래, 커뮤니케이션을 연구한다. 현재 지역 먹거리와 농산물 직거래에 대한 장편영화 <Local Food: Eating and Growing Food in the Heartland>를 편집 중이다. 이 작품은 캔자스 로렌스 지역의 로컬 푸드 운동을 조사하고 매주 열리는 농산물 직거래 장터에 대해 조망하는 영화다. 최근 커뮤니케이션과 전문성에 초점을 맞춘 비즈니스 트레이닝 영상을 제작하기도 했다.
Benjamin GARNER has a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Kansas and is a professor at the University of North Georgia. He researches local food, farmers’ markets, and communication. Currently, Benjamin is in the editing stages of a feature film on local food and farmers’ markets entitled, Local Food: Eating and Growing Food in the Heartland. This story examines the local food movement in Lawrence, Kansas, and spotlights the weekly farmers’ market. He has recently produced business training videos focusing on communication and professionalism.
